Geeky as it may be, the library is probably one of my favorite places in the world. I love everything from the atmosphere, right down to the smell. I find it distracting, relaxing, and therapedic. At times, I find it overwhelming overwhelming. With so much ground to cover, you never know where to start. And those stairs can be a workout, let me tell you.
Being the huge sap that I am, I of coarse always get one mushy love story. Typically one based around World War II. So corny, I know. I then find myself picking something by Ernest Hemmingway. My favorite part of the whole trip: the books about other countries, typically European ones… not all of them though. France, Madrid, and Scottland = genius. The histories couldn’t be more interesting if I started making them up as I went.
I can’t wait until I can travel the whole world. Twice. The first time will be to just soak it all in. As for the second, I have to pick a favorite so I can buy a vacation home, right?! In a perfect world ;). Culture amazes me. I would love nothing more than to know 5 + different foreign languages. Pathetically, I haven’t even mastered one.
