It’s not what you know, It’s who you know.

With the end of the school year rolling around, I have done my usual end of the grading period tradition. That consists of going around talking fast to make up for everything I didn’t do all year. I have came to realize that high school has taught me more than I thought. All in the same week I have convinced 1 teacher to not make me take a test, THREE teachers to not make me make up my absences, and another teacher to raise my grade and ENTIRE letter grade. Not too shabby. I can honestly say that I have bullshitted my way through high school. My 3.4 GPA is the product of sweet talking and words well spoken. I have high school to thank for teaching me to talk my way out of a rock and a hard spot.

It would be standard for me to feed you all the whole “I wish I would have earned my grade instead of cheating and wheeling and dealing” line of bullshit. However, I don’t wish that one bit. I can garuntee you that I will not need the quadratic formula in my PR career, however I will need that A that I’ll be recieving in algebra to get into SDSU. Pretending to be a people person, knowing what to say and when to say it is a skill that I have almost gotten down to a science. Being able to deal with people will get me a whole lot farther then knowing the periodic table by heart.

So thanks, Cibola. Good lookin’ out.
